This year our AGM will feature a presentation and discussion by a guest speaker Sandford Borins. Mr. Borins is Professor Emeritus of Strategic Management at the University of Toronto. He has a broad background in Public Policy and writes a blog with articles of interest about the intersection of politics and planning. His talk will be titled ‘Elbows Up Urban Ontario’. This event will take a close look at the our activities over the last 12 months and determine our key activities over the next 12 months.

Of course, all of efforts depend on fees and donations from members and the volunteer work of our Executive Committee.

Please plan to join us for the Town Hall sesson.

They say that ‘all politics is local’ and this is generally true except in the Province of Ontario. Thus follows Bill 109, Bill 23, MZO’s and so on and so on.

FUN is the only organization in the province that focusses on the Land Use Planning matters emanating from Queens Park. We must work together to end the current practice of Planning by Manila Envelopes.

Thus, FUN depends on our members understanding issues and contributing to their resolution. We share information, concerns and expertise with our member organizations, other groups and all levels of government. We need your involvement to continue our work speaking on behalf of community organizations across the Province.

Please become an active member – consider joining the Board’s Executive Committee.
