Barry Wellar PhD FRSC OC is an emeritus professor of geography at the University of Ottawa. He was awarded an Order of Canada in 2018 for his groundbreaking work in geographic information science. He is a founding member of the Federation of Urban Neighbourhoods (Ontario) and from 2001 to 2012 was FUN’s Director of Research. More of Dr. Wellar’s work can be seen at Wellar Consulting.
